A day in the life and home of a child in an informal settlement

My name is Abigail I am 11 years old and I live in Dunoon. A few days ago I was dozing in my bed with my homework on the floor, because where else should it go? It started to drizzle it made a loud noise and woke me up. I would really love for my family to have a nice roof that doesn’t make a noise when it rains. I look down and my homework was all soggy and damp! The next morning I had to wake up early to get dressed and walk a very far length to go to school. So I would love my parents to have a car so I don’t have to wake up early and walk a far distance to go to school. After school I had to walk a far distance to go home and it was dark the time I got home. I had to go and find a street light and do my homework under it in the cold. My life would be easier if I had electricity so I would not have to go scavenge around for a street light. The following weekend that week I needed the bathroom at night. Singing Inspector

My name is Jesse and a few days back in class a singing inspector came. he is rude and doesn’t care about feelings or anything, he probably only has one feeling. Which is rudeness. His name is Mr. Raymond, he wears ugly knickerbockers, and long non attracting socks, he’s eyes are blue and look like they are looking into your soul!!! He has curly golden locks. Well anyways I was second to go after Benny and Charles. They didn’t know any song Mr. R was furious and asked them madly if they knew any song, Charles then said very nervously, we know pretty polly. Sing it Mr. R said. They sounded really bad and squeaky. Mr. R said “sing them out”. I was next. I was so nervous, but on the modelater I was actually pretty good. I went home and told my dad and mom, and they said I never go to singing class until Mr. R was fired or quit!

The Butterfly Lion

The Butterfly Lion is AMAZING and I love it!!! it's been an emotional roller coaster. We have been indignant, sad, happy, confused many more emotion. I was fulled with joy when Bertie got to keep the White Prince. I was proud of Bertie when he saved the two people in the war. I loved that Bertie found Millie. It was a miracle that Bertie found his White Prince again. But it's a bit sad that when he found the circus owner, he could see the rib bone of the white lion! It was funny when I herd that Bertie was fighting with the vicar so the White Prince could come in the church for Bertie's and Millie's wedding, and Millie was a bit happy! But now I am going back to the start of the book. In the start I thought that the dad was Bad, because he is giving the lion to the circus, but he actually is just protecting the lion and Bertie!

The Grade 4 Camp

Two weeks ago we were on camp. We went to Giraffe House and we sow guinea fowls, crocodiles camels, ostriches, flamingos, Giraffes even one mouse, we sow snakes, lizards, a bull frog, a baby turtle and many more.  We then went back on the bus to Simonsberg campsite. when we got there. I was so happy to see all the camp staff again. Later in the camp my friends and I started to build a fort out of sticks, that was fun. after that we went to go swim. By the way the pool was super cold. Then we went back to the camp site to go have breakfast. Their food is super yummy! But don't forget that this is still the first day! So Then we went to sleep. Know the second day begins! It was so early  in the mornings it was about 6:00. But we were woken up by BOYS! But besides that, Alon and I were playing then we started playing by the sticks and then Aden asked 'WHATS ON MY HEAD' on my head, then Alon took me and said 'There was a  WASP on Aden's head.
